Alfred van Elk has extensive experience as a product designer and develops clearly designed, user-friendly products that are long-lasting. He works for a variety of clients and brands. In a personal collaboration with the customer, he works from a clear approach, considering the values and needs of the client, the market and the user. From a circular perspective, he wants to design useful products that retain their value for as long as possible and contribute to a sustainable society.

Product design, industrial design, design strategy, creative direction, idea and concept development, CMF generation and 3D CAD design.
Depending on the client's expertise and capacity, experienced specialists can be deployed on a project basis. This allows additional services to be offered, including: mechanical engineering, detail engineering, prototyping and production support.
In this way, we work with a small professional project team that can be deployed flexibly and guarantees project continuity as much as possible.
Education and Experience
Alfred van Elk graduated with honours from the Industrial Design course at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague, the Netherlands. Prior to this, he obtained his master’s degree in Interior Architecture & Furniture Design.
He worked as an industrial designer at Frans de la Haye Design, Philips Design, TNO Research & Innovation and Well Design, and was co-founder and partner of studio MOM.
Since 2007, he has been working from his own design studio: Alfred van Elk industrial design. His designs have received multiple awards.
In addition to his work as a designer, for 20 years Alfred van Elk has been a part-time industrial design lecturer at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague.
