For most consumers
opening an oyster is an inconvenient activity. For that reason oysters are
especially eaten in restaurants or at places where they are presented and
opened on the spot. With this oyster plateau, a cool package design developed
for Cooloyster, that's past history. This durable packaging is part of a new
concept that ensures consuming fresh pre-opened oysters at home.
Oysters can be ordered as take away at the fish shop or any other point of
sale. They are opened on the spot and freshly packed in the cooled, environmentally
friendly plateaus. The oysters then can be taken away in the cool pack to
store them or to consume them cool-fresh at home.
The packaging consists of a bottom plate with cooling element and a top plate
for six opened oysters. The products are made of Bagasse, a sustainable material
based on sucar cane fibers.
This natural, eco-friendly packing material is 100% biodegradable and compostable
and very efficient for food packaging design. (patent pending) |
