Providing staff
and students with a better working environment while taking (preliminary)
exams in multifunctional surroundings, a multi-purpose examination table is
required.
This folding table, designed for Kembo, fits all relevant requirements and
demands. It is light-weighted, stable and can be fold up in one single movement.
The folding mechanism is integrated in the design of the aluminium side elements,
providing a flat fold away table and consequently less space for storage.
Especially for this application a trolley has been designed that can transport
an efficient amount of folded tables. The first customer for this system,
the Leiden University’s Sport Centre, has been closely involved in the
development of both the trolley and the table. By this a good insight was
gained into the context of use, which contributed to the great functionality
and user friendliness of this foldable furniture.
